Like
all gravel pits, it's a matter of walking around and trying to see between
the vegetation! I've listed some map references to reasonable
parking/starting places
Go past the Sailing club take the footbridge
(right) over "The Cut" and view the GPs either side of
the footpath. Check the banks of the main sailing lake for sandpipers.
Park in the pub car park (don't feel guilty - there is
some arrangement between the pub & the local council) then take the path, which
runs along the back of the car park, west.
