The Berkshire Downs stretch about 20 miles across the north on the county's border from Lambourn in the west to Streatley in the east
Birding on the Downs is not as easy as a morning at, say, Theale but good birds can turn up anywhere. Montagu's & hen harrier, dotterel & quail all turn up
