The Berkshire Downs stretch about 20 miles across the north on the county's border from Lambourn to Streatley. Birding on the Downs is not as easy as a morning at, say,  Theale and  good birds can turn up anywhere. Montagu's & hen harrier, dotterel & quail all turn up.  Choose one of the starting points [in 'More Info'] and prepare to walk.
