April 22nd Dorney Wetlands Another fine day brought nothing new to the reserve. The two ringed plovers seem to be settled and spend time on both the islands and the sewage farm. There's still a solitary LRP and up to six redshanks which are getting ever noisier and also seem to spend time at Bray GPs where a Cetti's has been calling - though it was quiet on my last visit. The gropper was reeling again this evening but only sporadically - it was still quite early when I left though. Rain is forecast for tomorrow ... By this time previously at the site we'd had: turnstone, wood sand, greenshank, whimbrel, black redstart :o( SHUTTER : 1/57sec APERTURE : F4.5 FOCAL LENGTH : f31.0 - eyepiece 20-30x SENSITIVITY : ISO100 EXP +/- : -1.0 QUALITY : FULL FINE |
