The yank will come down off the posts to take chips or, preferably, seafood but as there is always a lot of movement from cars and shoppers it doesn't readily settle. Week-days are much better if you can manage it. It's not really bothered by the BHGs but if they see the food they get in the way of the pics so it's not a good idea to just throw chips down randomly (if you want to take pics, rather than just see the bird).
I used tinned
pilchards in brine for this series.
It dropped down
from its lamp post immediately I threw the fish onto the ground. It's also getting a healthier,
