The Laughing gull is still showing well at Reading Gate. As the park has a B&Q, a Comet and three fast food 'restaurants' it is VERY busy at weekends, making good pics of the bird difficult.

It'll come down off the posts to take chips or, preferably, tinned pilchards but as there is always a lot of movement from cars and shoppers it doesn't readily settle. Week-days are much better if you can manage it. It's not really bothered by the BHGs but if they see the food they get in the way of the pics so it's not a good idea to just throw chips down randomly (if you want to take pics, rather than just see the bird).

I dropped in at Lavell's feeding station to digiscope one of the 25 previously very infrequent, for the site, bramblings - thanks to Fraser for all his efforts there!

I'm getting a low % of sharp pics as my Canon is again "backfocussing" - this problem was resolved but after the 10D was recently serviced the issue has reappeared!
