aka Eversley gravel pits, Moor Green is a series of lakes just north of Blackwater river [the border with Hampshire]. It is quite mature now with lots of vegetation. There are a couple of hides which are generally locked but you can look through the screens to see almost everything. It's great for ducks and a winter morning visit can be breathtaking. The walk along the river can produce hundreds of finches. It can however get busy after ten on weekends. Click HERE for a map of the proposed restoration plan for the new workings |
