The thirty-odd gravel pits on either side of the M4 south of Reading offer lots a regular ducks as well as the chance of passage and storm-blown rareties. The pits are well-watched and news gets out quickly.
Passage can produce almost anything - including White pelican and a visit in Spring or Autumn always has possibilities.
